Synopsis
Doomed to Die is a novel set in 11th century Ireland. It is the story of two boys whose grandfather was a Viking. Both boys look very alike, both take part in the Battle of Clontarf, both have heard doom forecast. One lives, and one dies. The living boy is found wounded and unconscious. Beautiful Nessa of Drumshee takes him back to Drumshee, where confusion about the boy’s identity leads to a dramatic and unexpected conclusion.
