The good witch Wanda has been defeated and now the wicked warlock Worfeus is plotting to destroy Grindlewood and its enchanted garden. Only Wanda’s powerful spells, written on a secret scroll, can rid the world of the warlock.
Timber must lead the animals of Grindlewood in their quest to find the scroll and defeat their enemy. But where is the scroll hidden and will they find it before Worfeus? Is there really enough magic in their wild garden to help them defeat such evil?
About the author: Jackie grew up with her sister and three brothers in South Dublin. An avid reader and writer since her early school days, she only recently began writing children’s stories, having dreamed of doing so for quite some time. Book 1 in the Grindlewood series is her first outing as an author. Book 2 in the series will be released in 2014, with the third and fourth instalments following soon after.
The Secrets of Grindlewood is inspired by all that Jackie loves in nature: gardens, forests, wildlife and especially cats and dogs. Reading, hill walking and baking cakes are just a few of her many other hobbies. Jackie lives with her husband in Bray, County Wicklow. They share their home with a big fluffy cat called Millie.
