Hi! I’m Lauren and lately I’ve discovered something strange about my cat Saturn. Something very strange indeed . . .
And this time it wasn’t just me, but also my best friend Tilly who magically travelled back in time with him. Imagine our surprise to find ourselves in Ancient Rome, where no one spoke our language – and they wanted to sell us as slaves! But that wasn’t the scariest bit. Because when the tremors started, and the smoke appeared, we knew something explosive was about to happen…
Review
This is such a charming read . . . Curtin has a delightfully light touch. . . it’s refreshing to come across a story that you can happily give to a bright seven or eight year old who is longing to read a ‘proper’ book. It’s also a sneaky way of getting a little history into your offspring to boot. A winner for both parents and young readers alike. (Irish Independent)
Perfect for girls who love escapism and adventure (Woman’s Way)
Judi Curtin manages to pull off an implausible plot with some authority . . . we await the third journey through time with interest (Evening Echo)
