He graduated from University College, Durham, graduating in Modern languages in 1971. After graduating, he worked as an editor for various book publishers in London before moving to the Isle of Anglesey, in North Wales, where he now lives.┬áHis recent publications include┬áEncyclopedia of British History┬áand┬áA City Through Time.
