Pig has never really had a pet – except for a hamster, nits and a verruca called Vincent. So when Pig and Raj find a cat tied up in a shopping bag, Pig decides to keep it – even though it is probably the ugliest cat in the whole universe. Pig calls it Baldy Cat and tries to keep it a secret from his mum. He knows they can’t afford a cat. Of course, Mum discovers Baldy Cat (‘Is that a cat?’) and a solution needs to be found. Will Pig and Baldy Cat end up best mates? Boys love PIG! Peter Ian Green has another hilarious adventure in this book, one of the bestselling series ‘PIG’ by Barbara Catchpole. Coupled with fantastic black-and-white illustrations and an easy-to-read diary format, the laugh-out-loud humour and tale of friendship will appeal to all readers.
