Lauren’s dog Bella is about to have puppies and she can’t wait – even though Lauren knows that she mustn’t get too attached because she won’t be able to keep them.
But when the puppies are born, one is so tiny Mum and Dad aren’t sure it will pull through. Lauren helps her mum to hand-rear the littlest puppy, who she calls Lucy, to great success. But what will happen when the time comes for Lauren to give Lucy up?
About the Author.
Holly Webb started writing while working as a children’s books editor and has now written books for Scholastic, Bloomsbury and Orchard, as well as many titles for Stripes Publishing. She lives in Reading with her husband and their young family, along with their very spoilt cat. Sophy Williams took a degree in graphic art at Kingston and was runner-up in the Reader’s Digest Young Illustrators Competition. Her first illustrated book, WHEN GRANDMA CAME, was runner-up for the Mother Goose Award.
