Book Description

PIG falls in love with a girl in his class. To impress her he agrees to make a speech at school assembly, in front of the Mayor and all the parents. Unfortunately nerves have a very upsetting effect of Pig's stomach, and when all his concentration is spent on holding in a fart, his speech inevitably suffers.

From the Author
Like the others in the series, the book is aimed at reluctant readers. Whilst it is boy friendly, the girls will be drawn in by the tragic story of the doomed love of Pig and Tiffany. Underlying the main story line is a basic question which has bothered many more males than Pig: what do girls actually want?

The language is easy to decode for the reluctant reader without being patronising. Whilst Pig's dilemma is very funny,we cannot help feeling sorry for him. More important people than Pig have discovered the perils of wearing a microphone........
